Gaisberg - The race begins...

5th of July 2015 / Salzburg

Directly after the starter’s gun on Salzburg’s Mozart Square, the participants will hike up Gaisberg mountain where their thrilled fans will await them. The first athletes should make it in about an hour.  Skywalk will be represented with a booth atop Gaisberg mountain to catch all the action live.  As a true X-Alps fan, you’ll have the chance purchase clothing from the collection that we designed especially for the X-Alps.
Our tip:  The spectacular launch from Gaisberg mountain is definitely a highlight that you shouldn’t miss.

We hope to see you there!

Aschau - Chiemsee (Kampenwand) -The turnpoint at home...

6th - 7th of July 2015

skywalk and the town of Aschau, Germany have convinced the organizers to incorporate into the route a touch & go turnpoint at Lake Chiemsee in Bayern. A day or two after the start of the race the 33 athletes will pass by the Kampenwand, a mountain just south of the lake.  X-Alps fans are invited to come and experience the athletes up close at an event zone with public viewing and a great atmosphere.  The athletes will land directly at the event zone and sign the turnpoint board before heading off to the next turnpoint in Lermoos.  We plan to give the 33 athletes and their supporters an unforgettable welcome reception in an incomparable atmosphere.
This is a unique opportunity for all X-Alps and paragliding fans and is not to be missed!

Additional information:

  • You can go up to the top with the Kampenwand gondola that runs until midnight on the event day.
  • The event will take place on July 6 or 7, depending on the speed of the athletes. We will provide more detailed information on short notice on our homepage.
  • Party: The pilots have until 10:30pm to reach the turnpoint, so we are throwing a party on the evening of the event day at which we want to cheer on as many athletes as possible!
  • Testival: During the event you can test fly our gliders.  With a little luck you might just find yourself flying next to an X-Alp athlete.
